Terms of Use

The MoreTrade Portal ("the Portal") is owned and operated by More Classifieds Agency Ltd ("More Classifieds", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in Kenya under registration number PVT-9XUKZEVD, with its registered office at 204 Brickwood Apartments, Lantana Road, Westlands, Nairobi, Kenya.

The Portal connects Kenyan and international buyers, sellers, exporters, importers, logistics providers, trade service firms and investors ("Users"). It lets Users list products and services, publish trade opportunities, find partners, exchange enquiries and access trade information.

1. 1More Classifieds is a platform provider. We are not a party to any contract, sale, shipment or investment agreed between Users, unless we say so in writing.
2. 2We do not own, inspect, store or ship goods listed on the Portal. We do not act as an agent, broker, customs agent, freight forwarder or financial adviser for any User.
3. 3Users are solely responsible for their own trade terms, including Incoterms, payment terms, product quality, delivery, insurance and dispute resolution.
4. 4Trade information on the Portal (tariffs, market data, regulatory guides) is general guidance only. Confirm requirements with the relevant authority, such as KRA Customs, KenTrade, KEBS, KEPHIS or the authority in the destination country.

1. 1You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter binding contracts.
2. 2If you register for a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business.
3. 3You must give accurate, current and complete information, and keep it updated.
4. 4Business accounts may be asked for verification documents, such as a Certificate of Incorporation, KRA PIN certificate, trade or export licence, or national ID or passport of the directors.
5. 5You are responsible for all activity under your account. Keep your password confidential and tell us at once at support@more.co.ke if you suspect unauthorised access.
6. 6One person or business may not hold multiple accounts to avoid a suspension or manipulate ratings.

1. 1You are responsible for every listing, message, image and document you post ("User Content").
2. 2Listings must describe goods and services truthfully, including origin, grade, quantity, certification and price.
3. 3You grant More Classifieds a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, reproduce, translate and promote your User Content for operating and marketing the Portal. This licence ends when you remove the content, except for copies kept in backups or required by law.
4. 4We may review, edit for format, refuse or remove any User Content that breaches these Terms, without notice.

You must not use the Portal to list, promote or trade:

• goods banned or restricted under Kenyan law, the EAC Customs Management Act 2004, or the law of the destination country, without the required permits;
• narcotics, weapons, ammunition, explosives, wildlife trophies, ivory, or protected species under CITES;
• counterfeit goods or goods that infringe intellectual property rights (see the Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy);
• goods or dealings with persons subject to UN, Kenyan, or other applicable sanctions;
• hazardous waste, or chemicals without proper licensing.

You must not:

• post false, misleading or fraudulent listings, or impersonate any person or business;
• use the Portal to launder money or finance terrorism;
• scrape, harvest or copy data from the Portal by automated means without our written consent;
• introduce malware, attempt unauthorised access, or disrupt the Portal, which may also be an offence under the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act 2018;
• send spam or unsolicited bulk messages to other Users;
• move a transaction off the Portal to avoid fees where a paid service has been used to find the counterparty.

Some services are paid, such as premium listings, verified-supplier badges, featured placement and advertising. Fees, payment and refunds are governed by the Billing Policy.

The Portal's software, design, logos, the "More Classifieds" and "MoreTrade" names, databases and original content belong to More Classifieds or its licensors. You may not copy, modify or reuse them without written consent.

1. 1We may suspend, restrict or close your account, and remove listings, if you breach these Terms, if we suspect fraud, or if required by law or a lawful authority.
2. 2You may close your account at any time from your account settings or by writing to us.
3. 3Fees already paid for services used are not refundable on termination for breach.

The Portal is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any User, listing or trade opportunity is genuine, lawful or of good quality. A "Verified" badge confirms only that we checked specific documents at a point in time. It is not an endorsement or guarantee.

To the extent allowed by Kenyan law, More Classifieds is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or losses from dealings between Users. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the Consumer Protection Act 2012.

You agree to indemnify More Classifieds, its directors and staff against claims, losses and costs arising from your User Content, your transactions, or your breach of these Terms or the law.

1. 1These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
2. 2Disputes will first be referred to good-faith negotiation for 30 days.
3. 3Unresolved disputes will be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration Act 1995 and the rules of the Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration (NCIA). The seat will be Nairobi and the language is English.
4. 4Either party may seek urgent interim relief from the courts of Kenya.

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version with its effective date and notify registered Users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the changes.
